ENABLING ACCESSIBILITY FUND
The Enabling Accessibility Fund supports community-based projects across Canada that improve accessibility, remove barriers and enable Canadians with disabilities to participate in and contribute to their communities.
The program includes the following streams:
ENABLING ACCESSIBILITY IN COMMUNITIES
The Small Project Component provides grant funding to projects that improve the accessibility of existing facilities. Projects may include:
- the renovation, construction and retrofitting of buildings;
- he modification of vehicles for community use; and
- the provision of accessible communication technologies, such as audio induction loop systems and screen readers.
All projects funded through this component must create or enhance accessibility for people with disabilities within Canada.
