The Association accomplishes its mission by:
- Ensuring all persons practicing social work and/or using the title social worker are registered;
- Establishing and enforcing standards of qualification, knowledge, skill and efficiency of practice;
- Investigating complaints against its members;
- Promoting public awareness of the role of social work; and
- Assisting members in the pursuit of social justice and social change.
