Mandate is to provide employment and skills training to persons facing challenges to employment and to conduct research for the development of programs in the areas of entrepreneurship, leadership and distance learning.
Make a Change Canada is looking for students:
- Who have an interest in becoming employed or self-employed
- Who already have basic computer skills
- Who may find it difficult to work outside their homes
- Who find it difficult to attend regular scheduled training programs in their communities
- Who have the desire to learn and strive for their own independence

Business Abilities program

Offered entirely online, the Business Abilities program will give you the tools and support you need to research your business idea and prepare your business plan. Once you have your venture started, the website will continue to provide you with access to webinars and tutorials to help you manage and grow your business and continued support from the service team. Business Abilities is available free of charge to persons who self-identify as living with a disability.
IBDE Web Essentials 6-month program

Online, college accredited introductory program in web design and optimization. An excellent way to gain marketable technology skills from the comfort and convenience of home. Students build their own e-commerce ready website during the program for selling their own products or services online or for a community organization of their choice. Many graduates go on to work as web developers, either self-employed or by working for another firm. Graduates earn a college certificate and enjoy greater employment prospects in the labour market. IBDE Web Essentials is open to anyone who faces challenges to finding and maintaining employment who meets eligibility criteria. The program is fundable.
IBDE Web Advanced program

Online, college accredited advanced program with courses in web programming and web marketing: PHP/MySQL, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and WordPress CMS and Blogging. Courses can be taken individually or as a whole. Graduates earn college certificate and can enjoy potential higher earnings. IBDE Web Advanced is open to graduates of the IBDE Web Essentials program or any active web developer. The program is fundable, and eligibility criteria apply.
